DEVILS LAKE, ND – Lake Region State College signed an official agreement with CAE to provide internships for students studying to be simulator technicians.
The corporate/campus partnership provides LRSC students in the Simulation Technology program an internship opportunity at the newly opened CAE training center in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minn., for 8 weeks.

Students in the Sim Tech program will be prepared for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of electronic and mechanical components of simulators used in pilot training, entertainment and other applications. Students learn to use specialized tools, test equipment, built-in diagnostic equipment and technical data to isolate and locate faulty components or system malfunctions.

“We are happy to develop the next generation and onboard future talent by exposing them to our technology and services,” said Brian Darvell, CAE’s Center Leader – CAE Minneapolis, Charlotte and Miami Training Centers. “These new simulator technicians help fill vital roles within CAE’s ever-expanding pilot training business and have many career paths available in our global network of training centers.”
