The new administrators at Central Middle School, Principal Dan Kaffar and Assistant Principal Adria Smith gave a presentation on the middle school using video interviews with the teachers and staff.
Kaffar said they wanted to highlight all the things available for students at their school, “We have a lot going on at CMS.”

With all the personnel changes they had this year at the middle school they started the presentation showing some of the team building they’d done as a staff including a unique game of kickball which involved sharing questions and strategies with each other in a very informal setting.

Superintendent Scott Privratsky discussed the Devils Lake High School Addition project and learned from the board that they want to go forward with the construction plan with a few modification that they hope will lower the cost of the total project and garner the support needed from voters.
NDTC offered to provide equipment and assistance to the television production classes that would greatly enhance their learning opportunities and lead to the students producing their own Firebirds network, “Firebird Vision.”

A memorandum of understanding will govern the details of that working arrangement.

The next meeting of the school board will be Monday, Dec. 11 at 5 p.m.
