It’s always been in the back of her mind, finishing her C.P.A. and now Rachel Lindstrom has the opportunity to pursue just that as she steps out of her position as Executive Director of Forward Devils Lake and moves on to a new adventure.

She does this with a great deal of sadness about leaving her present position and excitement for what lay ahead.
“Isn’t that the way it always is? You are sad to leave a position where you have made a lot of friends and seen a lot of good things happen, but there’s good that can happen in the new job and certainly new friends to make there, too,” Lindstrom said.

She said they came to Devils Lake initially because of her husband’s work at Camp Gilbert Grafton.
Her background was accounting so she worked in accounting at Sioux Manufacturing and then as the comptroller at the Devils Lake hospital. She left that position to work in economic development for the city of Devils Lake in Oct. of 2013.

Lindstrom says she feels so proud of the things she accomplished while serving the community of Devils Lake.
