Jagan Scott has a felony theft conviction and a pending misdemeanor theft case.
Devils Lake police report that 20-year-old Jagan Scott failed to return to custody after being released from the Residential Re-entry Center to visit the library Monday afternoon.
According to authorities, Scott was serving time on a probation violation and is not considered to be a violent offender.
Scott has a criminal record stretching back at least two years, mostly involving driving-related offenses. He also has a felony theft conviction and a pending misdemeanor theft case.
Two Re-entry Center inmates who failed to return to custody, including another who was released to the library, are still at large. None of the three are considered to be dangerous.
Anyone with information on Scott’s whereabouts is encouraged to call law enforcement or dial 911. Police advise not to confront any suspect.
