Vilma C. (Albright) Sanders, 87, of Devils Lake, North Dakota, formerly of the Kloten/Binford area of North Dakota died on Wednesday evening, March 15, 2017, at Eventide Heartland Care Center in the loving care of family.

Vilma C. (Albright) Sanders, 87, of Devils Lake, North Dakota, formerly of the Kloten/Binford area of North Dakota died on Wednesday evening, March 15, 2017, at Eventide Heartland Care Center in the loving care of family. Vilma Caroline Dahl was born on May 5, 1929, at Kloten, ND, the daughter of Iver and Thelma (Johnson) Dahl. She grew up in the Kloten/Binford/Tolna area attending a country school. Vilma was united in marriage to Clarence Albright on March 4, 1946, and they were the proud parents of five children, Connie, Rodney, Philip, Bryan and James. Along with being a devoted wife and mother, Vilma proudly earned her GED while living in Fargo. Clarence died on May 31, 1996. Vilma worked hard to provide for her children. Her steadfast faith saw her through each day. Vilma married John William Sanders on June 16, 1972, at Jamestown, ND. They lived in various places in ND, and later moved to AZ, where they did construction work and then retired there. John died on August 25, 2009. Vilma remained in ND, to be closer to family. Vilma was into the various arts and crafts of each season and what was the most popular at the time. She loved to try her hand at all of them. She treasured anytime spent with children and grandchildren. Vilma is survived by her daughter Connie Orness (Devils Lake); sons Rodney (Diane) Albright (Billings, MT), Philip Albright, (Bullhead City, AZ) and Bryan (Mary) Albright (Jamestown); 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother David (Doris) Dahl, (Farmington, MN); sister Myrna Leininger, (Valley City, ND) and several nieces and nephews. Vilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; son James Iver Albright on December 26, 1958, and sister Delores Rickford in 2011.
