Kyle Dean Dunn, 24, of Devils Lake, was arrested Saturday after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and fleeing police.

Officers were called to the 1000 Block of 14th St. NW at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday evening after a neighbor witnessed Dunn choking a woman outside of the residence. Dunn allegedly fled, at one point hiding out in a resident’s garage and later trying to enter a different home while attempting to avoid capture.

Police eventually caught up to Dunn, and he was arrested on several charges, including aggravated assault, felonious restraint, sexual assault and fleeing police on foot.

The victim was reportedly dragged down two flights of stairs after initially being assaulted. She was treated at St. Alexius Devils Lake for undisclosed injuries. Her condition is unknown at this time.
