Among the stolen items discovered were license plates from other vehicles.
Police reported earlier this week that a 1994 blue Ford Explorer was stolen from the 300 Block of 12th Ave. sometime between late Sunday night and Monday morning.
That vehicle has been recovered with items inside from several other vehicles that were recently broken into.
The owner of the Explorer said in her initial report that the keys were left in the vehicle and that a purse was left inside. The owner also reported that fishing equipment, including an auger, were missing, though the fishing equipment was apparently recovered.
The Explorer was located at 501 12th Ave. SE - Agassiz Court - and among the items stolen were license plates from other vehicles.
Police estimate that “five or six” vehicles were broken into in the area over the last week and believe that the incidents are connected after finding items stolen from those vehicles in the Explorer.
