For the past 14 years it has become a holiday tradition in Devils Lake and it’s called Stuff-A-Truck.
Both grocery stores - Leevers Foods North and Leevers Foods South - try to outdo each other in a “friendly competition” to see who can collect the most donated items and cash to help families in need right here in our community.

In recent years their efforts have been multiplied by partnering with the students, faculty and staff of Central Middle School.
All to help families throughout Ramsey County have food in their cupboards for the holidays and beyond.

Working with Julie Hovde, Operations Manager of the Hope Center, both stores and CMS have managed to provide 4,661 pounds of food through this year’s Stuff-A-Truck campaign.
That’s an increase of nearly 500 pounds over last year’s total!
Cash donations for 2016 were just shy of $1,900. That money goes to purchase items needed for the food pantry shelves. Everything goes directly to families in the region.

Frank Mack from Leevers North and Dave Brustad from Leevers South are both proud of their customers willingness to help others. They are looking forward to the year ahead and the 15th Stuff-A-Truck.
