You will have noticed by now that we are lacking in local sports coverage.
With that in mind, I am making an appeal to all of you Moms and Dads (and uncles and aunts etc.) to take a photo or two when you are cheering on your high school sports enthusiast – whether it’s at a game, match or practice – and PLEASE send them to me at the Devils Lake Journal.
If you would include who’s in the picture and what is happening and when – you know us newspaper people, we always want the Who, What, When, Where and Why!
This will go a long way to help us get more local stories and photos in the paper. Should you know anyone – and I do mean just about anyone – who would like to try their hand at writing a sports story or two each week – that would REALLY be a help! My e-mail is loleson@cmpapers – send your ideas and submissions to me and I will get them in the paper. I can’t do this without your help!
