Mental Health Services available at Altru, Devils Lake

From a girl born on a dairy farm near Gackle, ND, to a professional mental health provider for the Lake Region, Annie Gerhardt has come a long way. Annie has been in Devils Lake with her family since 2010 working as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her other roles include being a graduate nursing instructor for the University of Mary, Major in the North Dakota National Guard, volunteer “team mom” for the Devils Lake Girls and Boys Wrestling Teams, mom and wife! Throughout her work experiences and various roles, Annie frequently noted the importance of developing and supporting mental health for overall wellness and the ability to cope with everyday stress in life.

Adolf Bryn has seen many changes in the agriculture profession since he began farming more that six decades ago. “I started farming when I graduated from high school in 1930,” Bryn said. “We farmed with horses up until that time. In 1930, dad bought a tractor, so I started with the tractor.

The Lake Region Public Library will once again be hosting a reading program for students in grades 1-12 and a separate program for adults this summer, following the theme “Adventure Begins at Your Library.” Would you like to be a lasting part of this important and fun literacy program? Spirit Lake man reported missing

Isaac James Hunt of the Spirit Lake Tribe has been reported missing. Hunt, 27, has been missing since March 8. He was last seen leaving with a brown Chevy Tahoe from his dad’s home in St. Michaels.
