  • Attendance was obviously affected by the weather on Sunday at the Stump Lake Threshing Bee but those who attended found the quality entertainment, demonstrations and booths they had come to expect at the two-day event.
Very few of the booths in the commercial building were vacant and this year there were some new vendors - like the Sons of Norway Heim Lodge selling Rømmegrot in the Stump Lake Village barn, across from the lady selling slices of home-made Juneberry pie a-la-mode.
As usual, the first day of the Threshing bee was delicious!
Monday is predicted to be a sunny day and that will likely go a long ways in drying up the muddy streets of the village and may make a difference in the attendance numbers, as well.
Monday’s schedule begins with the Thresherman’s Breakfast served starting at 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Sayler’s Starburst Band performed at 10 a.m. and Magician Jeffrey Salveson at 11:30 a.m. The High Plains Trio is on stage at noon.
The Paul Neis Band concert begins at 3 p.m., following the parade which begins at 2 p.m.
The Stump Lake Tractor Club tractor pull is also at 3 p.m. and the Kids’ Money Scramble is at 3:30 p.m.
