All children aged 12 and under are welcome to participate in Kid’s Camping Night at the Park on Friday evening, Aug. 1 in Roosevelt Park.

All children aged 12 and under are welcome to participate in Kid’s Camping Night at the Park on Friday evening, Aug. 1 in Roosevelt Park.

Families must provide their own tent and sleeping bags and there must be one parent or guardian in each tent.

This is a free event sponsored by the Devils Lake Park Board. Registration will be from 5 to 6 p.m. in the pavilion and a meal will be served at 6 p.m.

There will be a bouncy house from 5 to 7 p.m. and different games and activities from 7 to 9 p.m. with prizes given out to the  winners in certain events. Most activities will be designed for 6 - 12 year olds.

here will be snacks and drinks available in the pavilion until 9 p.m. At 9:30 p.m. there will be an outdoor movie shown. Kids must be in their tents once the movie concludes.

Anyone having a tent who might like to provide it for those families that don’t own a tent to use may do so by calling the rec office 662-8243 or dropping it by the park at 5 p.m. Friday.

All tents must be removed from the park by 9 a.m. the next morning.
