Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. a North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper working along Highway 57, three miles west of Ft. Totten, encountered three high performance motorcycles traveling at 151 mph in a posted 55 mph zone.

Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. a North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper working along Highway 57, three miles west of Ft. Totten, encountered three high performance motorcycles traveling at 151 mph in a posted 55 mph zone.  The three motorcycles were stopped without incident.  

Three Devils Lake men were issued speeding citations with a fee of $355 each.  

Additional citations were also issued for driving without a motorcycle endorsement and no liability insurance.  The men were cited to appear in Benson County Court on August 11 for reckless driving, a Class B misdemeanor, punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a maximum fine of $1,500.
