Two Devils Lake retired Army National Guardsman have helped out a Las Vegas High School two years in a row. Jack and Rita Volk are Devils Lake residents. They have a winter home in Las Vegas. Their two Friends, Jack Wolf and Mikki Wolf come to visit the Volks in Las Vegas during The Nascar Race.
Two years in a row both Jack Volk and Jack Wolf, both retired North Dakota Army Guardsman have Helped Rita's brother Robert Brown with projects at Mojave High School in Las Vegas. Robert is retired from the Army and is a JROTC Instructor at Mojave High School in Las Vegas. Volk and Wolf built trophy cases and book cases last year and this year they helped build a building to sell concessions or refreshments.
Robert estimates they have over a 100 hours of volunteer time. The students really like working with Jack and Jack. The students always laugh and say it is great to have "Pair of Jacks" in Las Vegas. Both are great with the students and the Mojave High School is a better place because of their efforts.
