  • The Devils Lake Police report that a group of motorcyclists who posted a video of themselves committing a number of traffic offenses are now facing charges for those offenses.
The video appeared on YouTube on Easter Sunday and according to Devils Lake Police Chief Keith Schroeder law enforcement was made aware of the video and were able to download it before it was taken down.
From the video Schroeder says the authorities were able to determine the identities of the people involved, where and when the violations were committed.
Now, according to Schroeder, six people are facing various charges including exhibition driving, speeding, reckless driving and driving without a motorcycle license.
A seventh person featured in the video was ticketed for speeding after he was clocked by the ND Highway Patrol going more than 110 miles an hour the day the video was filmed.
Schroeder says the video was allegedly posted to criticize the Highway Patrol.
