  • Two local men face felonies in early Thursday incident

  • The Devils Lake Police report two men face multiple charges after allegedly assaulting a man at a residence early Thursday morning in Devils Lake.
    The authorities allege 33- year-old Kyle Redfox of St. Michael and 19-year-old Dakota Charboneau of Devils Lake threatened a third man and prevented him from leaving the residence.
    Police say a knife and assault rifle were involved in the incident. Police say the victim called 9-1-1 shortly after 5 a.m. Thursday morning to report being assaulted. Police responded to the residence in the 400 block of 5th Street SE and found the victim who was taken to the hospital, treated and released.
    Police say two suspects had fled and were taken into custody later Thursday.
    According to the police department Charboneau and Redfox face felony terrorizing and felonious restraint charges. Charboneau also faces felony and misdemeanor drug charges.
    Additional charges could be filed in the incident.
