  • X-mas Kettle Campaign starts Monday

  • Last year, the Kettle Campaign in Ramsey County raised over $42,000, including donations received in table-top kettles one would find at local restaurants, the Elks Christmas Concert and individual donors. The goal for the Salvation Army this holiday season is to match last year’s campaign.

  • As many know, The Salvation Army in is Devils Lake year round, providing temporary emergency assistance to those in need. Additionally, the Salvation Army provides many other services, such as summer camping, disaster services, visits to the elderly and back to school projects among others.
Many of these projects would not be possible without the funding they receive from the Christmas Kettle Campaign.
Last year, the Kettle Campaign in Ramsey County raised over $42,000, including donations received in table-top kettles one would find at local restaurants, the Elks Christmas Concert and individual donors. There were over 300 hours of bell ringing in Devils Lake last year.
The goal for the Salvation Army this holiday season is to match last year’s campaign. Bell ringing will start on Monday, Nov. 25 and will go on until Christmas Eve. Volunteers are needed to take part in this year’s Christmas Kettle Campaign by helping staff area kettles, which will be stationed at K-Mart, Walmart and Leevers County Market downtown.
Volunteers can schedule their time now by calling the Kettle Chair, Lisa Ripplinger, at 662-6069.
