Jeff Michael Vasichek, 50, of Kearney, Neb., passed away from cancer on Sunday, November 17, 2013.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 23 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church in Michigan, N.D., with the Rev. Steven J. Meyer officiating. Interment will be at the Michigan Cemetery following the funeral services. A prayer service will be held the evening before, on November 22, starting at 7 p.m. at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Services will be handled by Aaker Funeral Home in Lakota, North Dakota.
Jeff was born July 2, 1963, in McVille, N.D. to James and Norma (Kroke) Vasichek. He grew up in Michigan. He graduated from Michigan Public High School and North Dakota State University. Jeff was united in marriage to Brenda Glovich on November 3, 1990, in Braddock, N.D. The couple lived in many locations where Jeff was employed by The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and Titan Tire. He ultimately joined Baldwin Filters in Kearney, Neb., as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Jeff was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Jeff is survived by his wife Brenda; and their son, Adam Vasichek; his father and mother, James and Norma Vasichek; brother, Jay (Maria) Vasichek; sisters, Laurie Vasichek and Jill (John) Vasichek West; his father-in-law, John Glovich; He is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Rose Vasichek, his maternal grandparents, Thorney and Theresa Kroke, and his mother-in-law Caroline Glovich.
