  • Four Leeds students selected to Northwest Music Festival

  • Four students from the Leeds High School were selected to participate at Minot State University's annual Northwest Music Festival, held on Friday, November 1st were chosen by MSU music faculty through an audition process, and were then required to study a number of vocal or instrumental selections prior to the event.

    Four students from the Leeds High School were selected to participate at Minot State University's annual Northwest Music Festival, held on Friday, November 1st were chosen by MSU music faculty through an audition process, and were then required to study a number of vocal or instrumental selections prior to the event.
    Once at the festival, participants rehearsed with directors from the university on Friday and Saturday. The weekend concluded with an afternoon performance in the Ann Nicole Nelson Auditorium on MSU's campus.
    Participating in the band was Arnikka Thompson (clarinet), daughter of Anthony and Carol Thompson.

    he Leeds High School instrumental teacher is Cameron Koenen (not pictured).
    Participating in the choirs were: Nikara Nelsen, daughter of Rob and Jodi Nelsen and Tony and Tami Kitzman; Julissa McGarvey, daughter of Jody and Janel McGarvey; and Alyssa Anderson, daughter of Greg Anderson. The Leeds High School vocal instructor is MiChelle Nybo.
