  • There is something for everyone at the Stump Lake Village Threshing Bee.
The two-day event begins Sunday, Sept. 1 at 7 a.m. with a hearty Thresherman’s Breakfast and then at 8 a.m. with church services in the lovely old church in the village.
Both Days                                                                                                       Both days the craft show will be in the commercial building where scores of booths sell everything from home-made quilts to toys to items for decorating your home and yard.
Don’t miss the food for sale all around the village from the vendors both inside the commercial building and outside in their own stands. Remember there are ice cream cones served in the back of the concert hall of the Main Street building and fresh lefse being made after the Thresherman’s Breakfast dishes are cleared away.
At 2 p.m. both days there will be a parade through the streets of the village and this year’s featured tractors are Fords. You will see Ford model tractors of every age and shape through the years but there will be numerous other entries in the parade including some horse drawn equipment or conveyances, antique and classic cars and maybe a clown or a gorilla, too, you never know!
There will be demonstrations both days, also, of old time threshing, a saw mill and blacksmithing.
The village gift shop is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, as well.

    Sunday only
On Sunday only the Dakota Keys accordian club will perform at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., the 60s Chicks will perform at 12:30 p.m. and Penny and Pals at 12:30 p.m., too.
The slow tractor race will be held at 3 p.m. and the kid’s pedal tractor pull will be at 3:30 p.m.  with registration for that event at 2:30 p.m.

    Monday only
The Cathy Erickson Band will perform at 11 a.m, and 3 p.m. and the High Plains Trio at 12:30 p.m.
The Stump Lake Tractor Club tractor pull will take place at 3 p.m. and at 3:30 p.m. the Kid’s Money Scramble will be held. See, there truly is something for everyone at the Stump Lake Village Threshing Bee.
