Last Friday’s “Freaky Friday” promotion at Royal Lanes garnered some healthy success as well over 100 bowlers came out for $1 games, $1 slices and $1 draft beers.
The turnout was a drastic improvement from the last time the bowling alley offered one-dollar games. Only 12 bowlers showed up last time. On Friday, the line was out the door.
Roughly two-thirds of those in attendance were families, all of whom are welcome to come back again this Friday for ‘Family Friday.”
Bob Markiewicz, a touring professional bowler on the PBA senior tour, was at Royal Lanes for the the duration of the promotion, offering tips and lessons to all who wanted to improve their game. He will reportedly be back in Devils Lake this Friday yet again to hang out at Royal Lanes with local bowlers.
