Summer on the Square Concert will be the ShowMe Brass Band from Columbia Missouri.  Enjoy a variety of music while you sit under the cool shade of the trees on the court house lawn in down town Kirksville. Bring your own lawn chair.  The Summer on the Square concerts are free and sponsored by the Kirksville Arts Association. In case of rain the concert will be moved to WrongDaddy's, 301 W. McPherson.

Doggie Luau

Dogs love to swim too!  Join the fun on August 17 from 12-2pm at the Brashear Park Wading Pool for the Doggie Luau.  Sponsored by Pawsitive Animal Works and the City of Kirksville.   Donations are $5 per dog.  Proceeds go to the Adair County Humane Society. Call 660-627-1485 for more information.

Spider Sniff!

Emily Burke, Naturalist at Thousand Hills State Park says that spiders are these amazing arachnids that can be found almost everywhere.  They are in the trees, on the ground and sometimes even find their way into our homes.  Yikes! Spiders are fascinating creatures.  Join Emily at the  Campground 1 Amphitheater at Thousand Hills State Park from 8 - 9pm to learn about spiders. Movie in the Park

Bring your blanket or lawn chair and enjoy watching the last movie in the park of summer. The movie, the Muppets will begin at dusk at the Rotary Park Amphitheater.  Event is free for the whole family!
