  • Kathleen Erin Archuleta of Aurora, Colo., passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at her home with her family at her side, as she wished.
    Father Marty Hunckler officiated the services held at Newcomer Funeral Chapel, Aurora, Colo, with burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colo.
    Erin's children served as pallbearers  and soil from Erin's home farm in ND was used in the interment.
     Kathleen Erin Connor was born July 11, 1932 in Devils Lake, N.D, the daughter of John Joseph and Kathleen Baker Connor. She was raised on the family farm near Starkweather, N.D. She attended elementary school at Sullivan Township School and was a graduate of Central High School, Devils Lake. Erin graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing, Rochester, Minn. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester and the VA Hospitals in Las Animas and Denver.
    Erin was married to the love of her life for fifty-eight years, Richard L. Archuleta; and loving mother to six children: Kathy, Janice (Del), Judy, Steve, Becky, and Matt (Michelle); doting grandmother to eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Erin is survived by her immediate family, brothers Donald (Carol) Connor of Chillicothe, Ill. and Michael (Ellen) Connor of Starkweather; brother-in-laws, George Archuleta of LaBarge, Wyo. and James Archuleta of Taos, N.M. along with numerous nieces and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, Margaret Ann and a brother Joseph Clinton Connor.
     Among those attending the services were Don Connor, Ellen & Mike Connor, Jim Connor (nephew) and elementary school mate/farm neighbor Richard Berg of Ogden, Colo.
