Karen was united in marriage to Donald Papachek in 1969. Karen was a dedicated employee of Ramsey National Bank for over 25 years. She felt such compassion for the elderly and their well being. She was forced to retire in 2008 due to the debilitating effects of a stroke.

Karen was a number one fan of Elvis and his music. She enjoyed movies and especially those classics such as “It’s a Wonderful Life”, “Sound of Music” and of course anything with Elvis as the star.
Karen was a life member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was also very active in the organization, Parents Without Partners.
Karen loved her family and time with her grandchildren brought her great joy. One of her favorite things to do with them was blowing bubbles and the girls knew they were just Grandma's excuse to play with bubbles herself.
