Birding is a popular activity throughout the country.
People of all ages and walks of life gather to hike through wooded areas, like Sullys Hill National Game Preserve, to view as many different species of birds as they can each season.
On Friday, May 17 Mike Jacobs, expert in the field of birding, will be presenting a lecture for the 2013 Chautauqua “Bird Talk” at 7 p.m. in the Chautauqua Gallery at LRSC. This is a place where you can bring any questions you might have about birds or birding.
Then on Saturday morning at 7 a.m., May 18 Jacobs will lead a “Bird Walk” through the lower reaches of Sullys Hill National Game Preserve and help birders, both expert and newbies, identify and spot bird species.
