The FBI agent in the Twin Cities was able to confirm that there is an active and ongoing homicide investigation ocurring on the Spirit Lake Reservation. He said it is a joint investigation with the FBI and BIA with the FBI taking the lead. He also said yesterday was the first full day of that investigation, so it was very early to expect results.
He would neither confirm nor deny the identity of the victim or that anyone was in custody regarding this incident
What he did do was ask to reassure the public that they are in no danger from the individual or individuals involved in this alleged homicide.
