GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A felony theft charge against the social services director for the Spirit Lake Nation has been reduced to a misdemeanor.
Mark Little Owl also faces two other misdemeanors — simple assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The charges stem from an alleged domestic dispute last Aug. 21 at the Grand Forks apartment of his former wife.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that Little Owl has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled for trial in early June. He is on administrative leave from his tribal position.
