The Devils Lake Police Department reports that a man was arrested twice on the same day for shoplifting - from the same store.
According to the police report, a man faces multiple misdemeanor charges after allegedly shoplifting twice from the same store on the same day.
The authorities allege that 21-year-old Raymond Mason of Devils Lake went to Leevers downtown location on Wednesday morning at about 8:30 a.m. and shoplifted several cans of energy drink and some beef jerky.
Police made contact with Mason at the store and took him into custody, booked him and he was later released on bail.
Shortly before 2 p.m. the police were called back to Leevers downtown for another report of shoplifting by Mason. This time, police say he fled the store on foot before the police arrived and was later arrested at a residence. Police allege Mason stole another energy drink the second time he went to the store.
Mason faces several charges including shoplifting, possession of marijuana, trespassing and possession of stolen property.
