Finn Minton, 53, of New Rockford, N.D., died Friday, March 15, 2013, at Carrington Health Center, Carrington, N.D.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 22 at 11 a.m. at Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford, N.D. Interment will be at a later date in Kalispell, Mont. Officiating the service will be Rev. Loren Franchuk. Vocalist is Brian McGraw.
Finn Edward Minton was born on March 11, 1960, to Robert and Thelma (Harding) Minton in Missoula, Mont.
He grew up in Montana, and attended Swan River Elementary near Big Fork, and completed 10th grade at Flathead High in Kalispell.
Finn worked in construction in Montana, Washington and North Dakota. He had moved to the New Rockford area in 2001, working at various jobs until he became disabled from his diabetes. He loved to fish and hunt, and draw as a kid.
He is survived by three sisters, Lucy (John) Clark, Melville, N.D., Bonnie (Bryon) Tresenriter, Heaton, N.D., Mary Minton, Lexington, Ky.; two brothers, Tim (Annie) Minton, Vancouver, Wash., Robert (Frances) Minton, Spokane, Wash; nephews, Tommy Mann, Carrington, Linden Hulburt and Adam Hulburt both of Vancouver, Wash., Robert Minton, Kalispell, Hunter Minton and Forrest Minton, both of Vancouver; nieces, Kellie Mann, Tammy Grager, and Lindsey Hulburt, all of Carrington; three grand-nieces, Mackaely Jae Grager, Ashlynn Starr Johnson and Aveerie Lucille Hulburt.
Finn was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a brother, Allen Dale Minton.
