Students from around the Lake Region gathered at LRSC to learn and to be inspired.

Following the opening ceremonies, which included opening remarks, the presentation of colors, the national anthem - sung by Brody Cavanaugh -  announcements and the keynote address from Debra J. Anderson, president of Summers Manufacturing the students broke up into small groups and attended 25-minute “classes.” Those who had a project to present did that between 11 a.m. and 12:25 p.m. in two sessions.

Then the “classes” resumed. The day wrapped up with a rally in the Robert Fawcett Auditorium with a recognition of projects and students and closing speaker, Lee Ann Johnston, Owner and operator of the Dairy Queen in Devils Lake.

There was also a special demonstration of the First Robotics Competition Team 877 from Cando.

Students participating were from Devils Lake Central Middle School, Langdon Area Elementary School, New Rockford-Sheyenne Public School and Warwick Public School.
