  • Raymond H. Hauschulz, 94, of Rock Lake, N.D., passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Kindred Hospital in Mandan, N.D.
     
    Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 1 at All Nations Lutheran Church in Rock Lake, with Rev. Scott Ramey officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in the spring at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rock Lake. Military Rites will be provided by the Mooney-Carnahan Post #8196, Rock Lake VFW and North Dakota Military Funeral Honors Team.
    Casket bearers will be Steven Oakland, David Hoerer, Bob Hauschulz and Donald Bucholz. Music will be from Lisa Held, pianist.
    Raymond Hilbert Hauschulz was born July 22, 1918 in rural Rock Lake, N.D., to Max and Karolina (Roderer) Hauschulz. He attended rural school at the Howell School in Rock Lake. He helped his father on the farm and enlisted in the United States Army on October 6, 1942, serving his country in the battles and campaigns of Northern France, Normandy, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. Raymond was awarded many decorations and citations. He was united in marriage to Gladys E. Wolter on February 24, 1944 in Fresno, Calif. He was honorably discharged from the military on October 23, 1945 and then returned to farm in rural Rock Lake. The couple remained on the farm and moved into Rock Lake in 1973. They retired in 1983. Raymond was a member of All Nations Lutheran Church, Mooney-Carnahan Post # 8196. Rock Lake VFW and Hal Parker Post #79, Cando American Legion.
     
    Raymond is survived by his children, Duane (Arlene) Hauschulz of Wilmot, Kan.; Marilyn Facchina of Rock Lake; grandchildren, Travis Hauschulz of Christiansburg, Va.; Preston Hauschulz of Leavenworth, Kan.; Carin Facchina Clark of Rock Lake; Teresa (Jesse) Smith of Wauconda, Ill; and eight great-grandchildren.
     
    Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gladys; son, Carl Hauschulz; grandson, Marshall Hauschulz; brothers, Harold and Norbert Hauschulz; sisters, Gertrude Price and Mildred Shier.
