On Monday's and Wednesday's I go to Body Pump and on Thursday's I go to Zumba and Kettle bells. I've started to have a love/hate relationship with all of them.
Tonight at Body Pump I was waiting for every one else to get set up and I was really tuned into the lyrics of our warm-up song. The chorus said, "it's not about what you've done, It's about what you're doing. It's all about where you're going, no matter where you've been." This really got me excited and made me realize a couple of things. I can't change how long I sat on the couch in the last year, I can't change the drive thru trips, or the times that I skipped the gym. What I can change is what I put in my mouth, how many times I choose to workout, and how much I want to push myself and how much I want to get this weight off.
I said last time that I would talk about New Years Revolution-ers....well tonight's Body Pump played right into that! Last week, each class was packed, you knew it was the start of the year. Tonight, we had ZERO new people. The rest of us have been coming for quite some time. The instructor made us make her a promise tonight. She made us promise that we won't be in class for just a couple of weeks. She wants to see us in March, and tonight, I made that promise.
I want to be a stronger person and in March I want to prove it, not only to the instructor, but to myself. I made a New Years Resolution, but it's going to take more than a year and that's something I am starting to realize, but lets start with March.
