Jamestown went on to win the cross-region dual 58-22. “We are doing some things right,” Devils Lake coach Todd Lambrecht said, “but, with small numbers and injuries, it makes things more difficult. Devils Lake could muster just four wins against the Blue Jays. Jagan Scott and Kameron Matecjeck won back-to-back matches for the Firebirds by way of pins to get their team on the scoreboard, Scott pinned Cullen Goter just eight seconds before their bout at 220 pounds for the first points for Devils Lake and Matejcek followed with a pin of Kyle Anderson in 2:43 at 285 pounds. Joey Good added a pin of his own in 1:02 over Dante Dillingham at 120 pounds. Logan Stein notched a major decision over Mitch Ova by the score of 18-8 at 138 pounds for the final points of the night for the Firebirds. Stein scored seven of his points in the final period as he dominated Ova over the final two minutes of their match.
