  • MADDOCK, N.D. — Eric Haugland scored 17 points and six other players broke into the scoring column as Lakota-Adams-Edmore defeated Benson County 49-40 in Class B boys basketball action on Monday in Maddock.
    The victorious Raiders jumped to a 10-5 lead after the first period and extended that advantage to 24-14 at halftime.
    Kaden Martinson and Garrett Pic each added eight points for the winners.
    Kaleb Westad was the lone Benson County player to reach double digits with a 10-point performance on the night. Brady Stoll and Quentin Sears finished just behind with nine points each.
    L-A-E plays at Midkota on Friday. Benson County, meanwhile, is idle until after the new year and will not play again until Jan. 4 date at Warwick.
