  • At 12:39 p.m, Thursday, Dec. 6, the Devils Lake Police Department received a call from the Holiday Station Store that several individuals had approached the station staff selling perfume. When officers arrived the individuals had left. Shortly later a woman alerted police that the group was attempting to sell the perfume at McDonalds. Police arrived on the scene and arrested Jawara Jamaul Morris, age 30, of St. Paul, Minn., and charged him with selling merchandise without a transient merchant license. Such license is required by the city of Devils Lake. Morris posted a $200 cash bond. Three other individuals were with Morris, however no charges were made against them as they were not actively selling the perfume.
