FARGO, N.D. — Fargo Davies scored three unanswered goals to break away from Devils Lake en route to a 5-1 victory over the Firebirds on Thursday. After the Eagles had jumped to a 2-0 lead after the first period, Devils Lake was able to slash the deficit in half when Tanner Elshaug scored early into the second period. That was as close as the Firebirds would get as Davies scored the next three goals of the period to pad the lead. Devils Lake goaltender Holden Kurtz tallied 42 saves in the game. The Firebirds (0-2 overall) will play Hazen-Beulah tonight at Burdick Arena.
