  • Stuff-A-Truck food drive fills more than one truck

  • Central Middle School students, most of them from Mr. Jake Wateland’s Government and Citizenship class, helped Dave Brustad and Frank Mack from Leevers Foods  transport the many pounds of donated food from the Stuff-A-Truck holiday food drive to the Dakota Prairie Community Action Agency food pantry on Tuesday.
The donations filled two pickup trucks from the one location of the north store. The students held a food drive at the school to help with Stuff-A-Truck and they filled a whole truck, themselves. Add that to the donations from the Leevers Food’s south location already delivered and Brustad was pretty sure they’d doubled what was donated last year.
What was donated will help replenish the shelves at the community’s food pantry and may make its way into special food baskets made up for families in need during the holidays.
