Later on she attended Little Hoop Community College and received her CDA. She worked with the Spirit Lake Head Start, REM Corporation in Devils Lake and Sioux Manufacturing Corp. (SMC) in Fort Totten.
Rita spent most of her early years with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing arts and crafts with her children and loved baking with them also. Rita was a “people person” and loved spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoyed music and reading books.
Rita lived in Moorhead, Minn., for about five years then recently moved back to Devils Lake. Because of her illness, she was a resident of the Lakota Nursing Home as she left to the Spirit World. Rita’s fun and loving spirit and laughter will be dearly missed by her loving family and many friends and relatives.
