Raiders eliminate Hornets, advance to region tourney

NEW ROCKFORD, N.D. — Lakota-Adams-Edmore started strong and then needed to hold off a late rally by Harvey-Wells County as the Raiders kept their season alive by advancing from the District 7 tournament on Monday.

L-A-E won the match 25-17, 25-22, 23-25, 20-25, 15-6 and advances to the Region 4 tournament next week in Devils Lake.

Benson County also punched its ticket to the region tournament by sweeping past New Rockford-Sheyenne 25-17, 25-6, 25-19 in the other region-qualifying match while Carrington toppled Midkota in the championship match. The Cardinals won 25-17, 25-22, 25-18.
