Captain Kyle Ternes of the North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that at approximately 4:45 p.m. Monday there was an accident on ND Highway 20 about three miles south of Webster in Ramsey County.
A 2010 GMC Yukon driven by 45-year-old Joni Wold from Devils Lake with her three children inside as passengers was traveling northbound on Highway 20 when she struck Curtis Frahm, 53, from East Troy Wis., who was driving a 1999 F350 Super Duty pickup.
Frahm was traveling ahead of Wold when he reduced speed to negotiate a left turn, however, Wold attempted to pass the Frahm vehicle on the left and struck the pickup in the rear. Fram’s vehicle rotated counterclockwise and came to rest on the NW corner of the intersection.
Frahm was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hosptial. Wold was issued a citation for failure to use care required to safely operate her vehicle.
