  • BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Secretary of State's office says it has received calls from residents reporting anonymous phone calls falsely claiming that absentee voting is illegal in the state.
The agency says it has received more than a dozen reports from residents who have received such calls. The secretary of state's office says absentee voting is legal in the state and that residents receiving such calls should disregard them as a hoax.
To apply for an absentee ballot, voters can either contact their county auditor or visit the secretary of state's website.
