Patricia J. Armstrong, 69, of Leeds, ND and formerly of Churchs Ferry, N.D., died Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in Fargo.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, September 25 at 2 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home in Leeds with Pastor Richard Budd officiating. At Pat’s request, her remains were bequeathed to the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks. Music will be from Darlene Albertson, soloist with Doris Michaels, organist.
Patricia June Armstrong was born April 27, 1943 at Caldwell, W.V, the daughter of James and Laura (Barrett) Ellison. She was raised and educated in West Virginia. She married Rex Armstrong October 12, 1965 in Waukegan, Ill. The couple moved Churchs Ferry in 1991 and operated the Watering Hole Bar for 13 years. They moved to Leeds in 2000. Through the years she had worked as a certified nursing sssistant at various nursing homes, but retired do to ill health.
Surviving are her husband, Rex of Leeds; daughters, Dreama (Bob) Ellison of Leeds and Laura (Bryan) Beebe of La Pine, Ore.; five grandchildren and a sister, Judy (All]en) Maulder of Narrows, Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James; and a granddaughter, Faith.
The Nelson Funeral Home of Leeds is in charge of the arrangements.
