What could be better than stopping by your favorite shops in downtown Devils Lake and getting treated to a tiny cup of wine and maybe chips and salsa or some cheesecake?
Multiply that by 20 and you’ll have one fantastic night.
The fourth annual Downtown Devils Lake Wine Walk begins this evening just as most folks are heading home for the day - between 5 and 9 p.m.
How do you participate in the Wine Walk? First buy a ticket from one of the participating merchants or at the Devils Lake Chamber of Commerce.
The ticket can be exchanged, with photo ID (as proof of your age), at the Wine Walk booth downtown at the corner of 4th Ave and 4th St for a wristband, a map and your Wine Walk passport. That’s the way it was done last year.
In the past, also, the first 300 or so to register may get a special surprise in their bag.
The map will help you plan your route. This year there are 20 different downtown businesses participating. They will have on hand a free sample of wine or non-alcoholic beverage and hors ‘d' oeuvres.
Participating merchants are Boots & Heels with Pampered Chef, Bremer Bank, Carribbean Color, Creative Impressions, Fashion Boutique, Garden Gate, Gerrells Sports Center, Hoiberg’s Office Supply, Lake Region Heritage Center, LaMotte’s Paint and Glass, Liquid Bean, Proz - End of the Line, Ritter-Huesgens Jewelers, Ramsey Bank, Historic Sheriff’s House, Slumberland, The Liquor Locker, Thompsons Glass and Paint and Wired Cellular.
You must be 21 years of age or older to attend.
