  • A 43-year-old Maddock man died early Wednesday morning in a one vehicle rollover on U.S. Highway 281.
Sgt. Robert Kennedy of the North Dakota Highway Patrol reported that at approximately 12:30 a.m. at mile marker 153, six miles south of Minnewaukan, the driver of a 1997 Jeep Cherokee who was traveling south bound failed to negotiate the left hand curve in the roadway.
The driver drifted to the right hand shoulder of the road then over corrected his mistake, which caused his Jeep to yaw across the roadway and roll in the east ditch. The vehicle came to rest on the passenger’s side facing northeast.
The driver was deceased at the scene. He was not wearing his seatbelt.
According to the report the driver’s trip plan was unknown  and the accident remains under investigation.
