  • Kentucky man to be charged

  • According to Devils Lake Police Chief Keith Schroeder, Christopher J. Brandt, 23, of Lowansville, Ky. will be charged with two counts of Manslaughter, Class B felonies, and one count of Reckless Endangerment, a class C felony following the investigation of an accident that occurred on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at approximately midnight in the city of Devils Lake.

  • According to Devils Lake Police Chief Keith Schroeder, Christopher J. Brandt, 23, of Lowansville, Ky. will be charged with two counts of Manslaughter, Class B felonies, and one count of Reckless Endangerment, a Class C felony following the investigation of an accident that occurred on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at approximately midnight in the city of Devils Lake.
    Devils Lake Police, Ramsey County Sheriff’s deputy, North Dakota Highway Patrol, Lake Region Ambulance, Devils Lake Fire Department and Devils Lake Rural Fire units were called to the scene of a motor vehicle collision south of Sixth Street SE on College Drive.
    Upon arrival two persons were found to be dead at the scene and two others were transported to Mercy Hospital by ambulance where they were treated and released.
    The single vehicle involved was southbound on College Drive when it left the roadway, struck a tree and was on its side when units arrived.
    The identities of the deceased are Ronald J. Forsyth, 31, Owneton, Ky. and Jason S. Burnette, 23, Manchester, Ky.
    The other occupants of the vehicle were Brandt and David K. Duncan, 23, Hueysville, Ky.
    All four were members of the National Guard in Kentucky and were attending training at Camp Grafton.
