  • BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The Democratic candidate for North Dakota's Public Service Commission says two Republican commissioners have been "flouting the spirit" of the state's anti-bribery law.
Brad Crabtree says Republican commissioners Brian Kalk and Kevin Cramer have taken campaign contributions from companies they regulate.
Crabtree says the money came in when Kalk and Cramer made decisions favoring the companies. Cramer is the North Dakota Republican candidate for the U.S. House this fall.
At a Thursday news conference in Bismarck, Crabtree says public service commissioners should have to separately disclose any donations they get from companies they regulate.
He says commissioners also should have to report campaign contributions before North Dakota's early voting begins for the November general election.
Crabtree is running against Republican Randy Christmann for an open seat on the PSC.
