The week ahead is a busy one for both the city of Devils Lake and the larger Lake Region area.
Mondays at the Museum brings a presentation about steamboats at the Old Post Office Museum at 7 p.m. today, July 23.
•Tuesday Arts in the Park
This week the Tuesday Arts in the Park features the Ska Skank Redemption, a horn based pop and rock band in concert on the Galleger Elks Band Shell in Roosevelt Park starting at 7 p.m.
Also on Tuesday evening the class of ‘65 is turning 65 and they will celebrate that milestone with a get-together at The Razor’s Edge starting at 5 p.m.
The class of ‘72 will celebrate their 40th reunion with activities culminating with Saturday evening, July 28 at the KC Hall 6 p.m.
•Wizard of Oz
The final four performances of the Wizard of Oz will take place this week, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. on the LRSC stage for the Fort Totten Little Theater.
The Fort Totten Little Theater will be celebrating 50 years of bringing Broadway to the prairie with a number of activities on Saturday afternoon, July 28 at the Little Theater in Fort Totten.
The re-invented Crazy Days “Whopper-Fest” event begins Friday, July 27 and continues Saturday, July 28 with fashion show, a fishing tournament, hot dog eating contest and much, much more including all the bargains that can be had at area merchants.
•Fort Totten Days Youth Rodeo and Pow Wow
Fort Totten will be filled with visitors this week as they prepare to celebrate Fort Totten Days which includes a Youth Rodeo Friday afternoon starting at 2 p.m. and grand entries on Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday 1 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
Chautauqua continues Friday at 7 p.m. in Roosevelt Park on stage with a songfest by Jeff Lange.
•Southam Centennial Pinic will be held at Roosevelt Park Pavilion, July 28 with social at 1 p.m. and picnic at 4 p.m. Lemonade and coffee provided; bring your own lawn chair.
•3rd Annual Run...For Your Life 5K fun run-walk will begin at 9 a.m. at LRSC, for Relay For Life, Sat. July 28.
