Jerome Michael Senger, 73, of Chandler, AZ, peacefully entered into rest on Friday, June 15, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.
Originally from Devils Lake, ND, Jerry was the youngest of 14 children of Michael W. and Johanna Senger. After graduating from St. Mary's High School, Jerry joined the Navy, served four years and was honorably discharged.
He then moved to Ohio. Jerry was a Police Lieutenant and served 33 years for the Garfield Heights Police department. He received service commendations from President Bill Clinton, Senator John Glenn, Senator Howard Metzenbaum as well as Ohio Governor Voinovich and Ohio Senators, Kucinich and Jaskulski.
Jerome is survived by his loving wife, Connie (nee Mulica); daughter, Cheryl (husband, Huey Schwebs); son, Michael (wife, Yeshia); sisters, Francis Daniels, Rose Ogrocko, Katherine Steffan, Irene Steffan, Marie Kurtz; brothers, Wendlin, Frank and William (Bill). He was also the dearest uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by Julia, Magdalen, Veronica, Joseph and Peter.
Memorial services to be held in Mesa, AZ and Devils Lake.
