WATFORD CITY, N.D. (AP) — The Long X Bridge on U.S. Highway 85 in western North Dakota is once again open to traffic 24 hours a day following repairs.
The bridge on the major north-south route in the North Dakota oil patch was damaged March 18 when it was struck by a truck load that was too high. Repairs have necessitated vehicle restrictions since then. The bridge most recently had been closed during nighttime hours.
The state Transportation Department says normal weight, width and height restrictions are once again in effect on the bridge about 14 miles south of Watford City.
