  • FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Students at the public high schools in North Dakota's largest city will soon be technologically correct.
The school district says beginning in 2013 it will attempt to outfit each student at the three schools with some form of electronic learning device, such as a tablet, laptop or smartphone.
Officials say it will cost about $300,000 for the equipment, software and training.
District spokeswoman Jodell Teiken tells The Forum newspaper that it's important to provide students with the richness of Web-based learning without breaking the bank.
The district has about 3,200 students at Fargo North, Fargo South and Davies high schools.
